  1. Wow! Such interesting blog entries. I am so happy for you that you were and are able to serve a Mission. Perhaps this is the start of more ...... hmmm ........... just wondering!

I understand you haven't had to shovel snow! How sad is that? Oh my golly, we've had cold, snow, wind, more of each - yes, it has been a cold winter. I am concerned about the amount of snow and pray that the melt will be slow and easy. I do worry about High River and the other areas that were flooded.

Well, grandson Kellen leaves tomorrow (27) for the MTC, although his mission doesn't start until the 28th. Yesterday was his farewell talk -- a Sacrament Meeting that he shared with a missionary who just returned from Uruguay (he had served in the very same mission as Coral is serving in so it was really neat to hear from him). The recently returned missionary is Justin Grigor and it is so funny - the Grigor and Chubak families knew one another from their days in Saskatoon, then these two kids who are in the same Ward in Okotoks get called to the exact same mission!

Last night John and Melinda had a family supper which included the High River bunch and also my son from Lacombe. His wife and two kids were just returning from SL so missed out on the meal but were here for lunch (which was the rest of the supper!) The open house was from 6:00 to whenever and I have never seen so many people coming and going. There were well over 100 that attended. It was a nice special send off for Kellen.

There is nothing more to report on except that I am still my same old self, still making crooked quilts - have two on the go right now, and some completed tops put away awaiting the final step.

    Take care.

    Marlene
