In Guatemala, US kids   learn about Canada 🇨🇦  Larry and Babette visited a school for the children of Americans working in Guatemala City. The students divided up and created booths and learned a dance about six countries, including Canada. Sept 10-23, 2018 Church history in Guatemala

Larry has a new iPad,  to be  able  to continue blogging The much smaller iPhone was too darn difficult for a certain old man. 😁 Thanks to Debbie Spencer who carried the iPad to me from her daughter’s home  in Utah. We bought and delivered it using Amazon. If I had bought this latest iPad in  Guatemala City, it would have added an extra US$100.  At the same Family home evening, the Andersons  were introduced to their fellow  Temple missionaries.  John Norman Nice things said about our  departing  Temple President Guatemala City Temple President John Norman  attended his final Coordinating Council Meeting in  the Coban region (usually a 5-hour drive). Area Seventy Arredondo said he believed that Pres. To senior missionaries:  “You are models for us in Latin America” We in Latin America want our church units to be like yours in North America — self-suffient and able to help other units in the world. So said José Uceda, the new president of the Central America Area of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to 20 retirees called to serve various missions.  We see you happy with 45 or so years of marriage. You got there by progressing in the church and in your careers in a particular way. If you would like to help Latinos, in more than the area specialty of your mission, I would like to see you take interest in a young man, priest age. Encourage him to further his education so he can have a good job that will allow him to have time to help build the church here.
