October 22-28, 2018 New Temple Presidency

Announced at the annual meeting of Temple workers

Larry painted and gifted portraits
of the old Presidency

Watercolors

I told the couples that I was a beginner watercolorist and that they
could throw away the painting if they didn’t like it. The Flohrs said
they liked my watercolor of them and would frame and hang it in
their home. I haven’t heard anything from the Funes. My portraits
of the Normans were gifted a month ago so they could ship it home
with their own paintings. Photos and details are in an earlier blog.

Temple Missionaries say Farewell
to the Temple Presidency

Temple worker shifts say Farewell to Presidency

Whew! This blog took a long time. Zzzzz.

  1. Thank You Larry for this picture diary of the last week of goodbyes to the Normans. I wish we could have been there to share in some of the goodbyes (though not ALL of the them-I fear my stomach couldn't have eaten that much!). It will be very different for the Americano workers to have a latino President. Hopefully he speaks a little English? Enjoy these last 4 months! We miss you all!

  2. I'm not a big fan of plantains; I do make a Brazilian plantain stew but I find you have to cut the plantains really, really small or else they taste like plantains. We'll be getting a new stake president next week, David Spackman is done his 9 years. I'm surprised they announced it. Maybe they hope for a good turnout of curious members.
